This just in! Dolce & Gabbana just announced that they are launching their first venture in Makeup! Dolce & Gabbana tells Wwd that Scarlett Johansson will be the new face of the yet to be released collection! The fashion powerhouse told the fashion bible that: “We see makeup as another thing for women, like a dress. Scarlett Johansson was already photographed for...

The beginning of Old Flowers Road

I’ve been reading about the Old Flowers Road on the net (also knows as CR 52E at the lower elevation and NF 152 at the higher elevation) located just west of Fort Collins. It’s a road that is frequented by dual-sport riders. It’s supposedly starts as a very easy dirt road, then climbs in elevation and turns steep and rough in some sections.

The beginning of Old Flowers Road and the end of pavement

With the temperatures today in the upper 50’s I decided to head out and check out Old Flowers Road. I had no intentions of riding the whole thing, I couldn’t do it even if I wanted to. At higher elevations the road was still covered in snow and ice and it might even be closed off with a gate.

A good spot for a lunch break

Heading in to the hills

That sign says the speed limit is 10MPH, in some spots the speed limit was posted at 25MPH

Some muddy parts

Getting more hilly and rocky

Getting rougher

Coming down a hill, a nice farm house in the distance

Heading back down Old Flowers Road, more nice views

Nice twisty section heading down

Near the beginning of Old Flowers Road , the flat section

The sun sliding behind the mountains

Looking at the hills where I just came from

The portion of Old Flowers Road I did today

When I arrived at Old Flowers Road I decided to stop and eat my sandwich that I brought for lunch. It was cooler up her so I had to put on the extra layers I brought with before I continued up Old Flowers Road. Within a few miles I started to notice snow in some places, and after a few more miles some snow, ice and water on the road, and some muddy and slick spots. The road was still climbing and the condition of it was deteriorating since the further I went the less traveled the road is. I actually only saw two cars on it and that was toward the beginning. Even though I only did about 20 miles, I enjoyed the road very much and I’ll have to come back when it’s warmer and the snow is all gone so I can ride all of it.

Back on the twisty Stove Prairie Road

Watching the sun set from the very wide dirt road called 27E

My whole loop today consisted of 80 miles. After Old Flowers Road I decided to continue north on Stove Prairie to Poudre Canyon. From 287 I took 54E to 27E, these roads are both unpaved and my new dual-sport route back to Fort Collins.

Victoria Beckham's New Armani Underwear Ads

Victoria Beckham has followed his husband footstep as a new endorser for the new ad campaign of Emporio Armani Underwear.

Victoria, 34 and a mother of three, was reportedly convinced to do the shoot by Giorgio. Last year soccer star David posed for the designer in his briefs.

Anyway, here's one of comment that I have stumbleupon with tru surfing the net.

"its called airbrushing and photoshop. She has the worst set of implants the world ever saw but here they look rather natural. She also looks here like she's eaten in the last year.. probably also due to photoshop. Usually photoshop is used to take away from someones frame but here its used to make her look at least model thin."

Now, what can you say about it?

Exhausts and Engine Work

The steel exhausts are supplied by Velocity and fit well. However, they can be improved. I had mine ceramic coated inside and out by Jet Hot Coatings. I chose a new ceramic finish called Sterling Extreme. It is not as shiny as their chrome look coating, but sheds more heat. It lowers CHT temperatures and gives you more horsepower. I used the old version in my first Velocity and loved it. This new finish also looks great.

These are a big improvement over the rough stock initially received with the kit. They are all trimmed, filed, painted and ready to install. One of the most satisfying things about building is finishing a component; the sense that you made something from nothing. As my wife says, "now it looks like an airplane part".

Here they are all mounted. They look good. I'm glad I went with the silver. It really does look like chrome.

I just got back my overhauled fuel servo. Overhauling it cost almost exactly what it cost to buy the used servo. Oh well, its still a thousand dollars less than a brand new one. It looks great- all shiny and clean. I will install it tomorrow IF I can figure out which end is up on this thing. I'm sure any mechanic would know. I'll just have to bug my A&P with another newbie question and let him shake his head again. I know I amuse him, but I'd rather ask and learn.
