The Big Turnover

In order to do the spar to strake layups, aka "hellhole layups", and to do the gear doors, the plane is typically turned over. (unless, of course your initials are AndyMillin) Builders have come up with all sorts of novel ways to do this including hoists, half circle fixtures of plywood and the like. I employed a decidedly low tech method on both kits. Simply bolt a 2x4 to the wing attach holes, get some burly friends and rest it on the board as it is flipped. We are going to have at least 3 more people for the flip back, though.
